The American International Auto Show (AIAS) is an annual auto show held in Detroit, Michigan at Cobo Center, usually in January. The show typically contains several hundred vehicles from various manufacturers. It is the largest auto show in North America and the second-largest in the world after the Frankfurt Motor Show. Here are some of the main attractions at AIAS:
i. New model introductions
The AIAS is a great platform for manufacturers to show off their newest models. Every year, there are several world and North American debuts of new production and concept vehicles. Major manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, and Jaguar all use the AIAS to showcase their latest models.
ii. Concept cars
In addition to new production models, the AIAS is also a platform for manufacturers to show off their latest concept cars. These are vehicles that are not yet in production but give a preview of what the manufacturer is working on. Many times, these concept cars will eventually become production models.
iii. Technology
The AIAS is also a great place to see the latest automotive technology. Many manufacturers use the show to debut new technology that will be appearing in their vehicles in the near future.
iv. Exhibits
In addition to the vehicles on display, there are also several exhibits at the AIAS. These can range from displays of historic vehicles to exhibits on new technology. There is also an exhibit on the history of the AIAS itself.

The AIAS also attracts its share of celebrities. Many times, there will be celebrities on hand to help unveil new vehicles or technology. In addition, there are often celebrities who are simply attending the show to check out the latest cars.
